Please read these terms carefully. They constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lodgr Housing Ltd.
Intermediary Role
Lodgr is a marketplace connecting students, landlords, and vendors. We do not own or manage the properties.
Escrow Protection
Payments are held in escrow. Housing is held for 3 days; Marketplace is held until delivery confirmation.
Verified Accounts
Landlords are onboarded via ambassadors. Students and vendors self-register with KYC verification.
Dispute System
A formal 7-day investigation process handles all refunds and transaction complaints.
1Introduction and Acceptance
Welcome to Lodgr. These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Lodgr Housing Ltd ("Lodgr", "we", "our", or "us"), a company registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria, governing your access to and use of the Lodgr platform.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
What Lodgr Is and Is Not
Lodgr is a technology platform connecting students with landlords and vendors. Lodgr is a marketplace intermediary. We are not a landlord, property agent, or vendor.
We do not own, manage, or control any of the properties or products listed. The contract for accommodation or purchase is directly between the student and the landlord or vendor.
3Account Registration
3.2 Landlord Onboarding — Managed
Landlord accounts are not self-registered. They are onboarded exclusively through Lodgr's campus ambassador network. The ambassador acts as Lodgr's authorised agent for the purpose of obtaining agreement to these terms.
Student
Self-registered; browses listings and manages payments.
Landlord
Ambassador-onboarded; lists accommodation via admin management.
Vendor
Self-registered; lists products in the marketplace.
4Housing and Rental Payments
4.3 Escrow and Disbursement
Funds are held in escrow for 3 calendar days. If no dispute is raised, funds are automatically disbursed to the landlord's verified bank account.
6.4 Off-Platform Payments
Soliciting or accepting payments outside the Platform is a material breach of these Terms and will result in immediate account suspension.
5Marketplace Transactions
Lodgr charges a flat fee of NGN 500 on each marketplace transaction. Funds are released to the vendor only after the student explicitly taps the "satisfaction authorisation" button in the app. Lodgr makes no warranties regarding the quality, safety, or legality of items sold by third-party vendors.
6Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including logos, graphics, software, and the compiled database of listings, is the exclusive property of Lodgr Housing Ltd. You are prohibited from scraping, crawling, or using any automated tools to collect data from the Platform without our express written consent.
7Listing Accuracy & Indemnity
By listing a property or product, you warrant that you have the legal right to do so and that all provided information is accurate. You agree to indemnify and hold Lodgr Housing Ltd harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from inaccurate listings or breaches of third-party rights.
8Disputes, Refunds, and Resolutions
Disputes must be raised within 3 days (Housing) or 7 days (Marketplace). Lodgr follows a strict 3-step investigation process:

10Limitation of Liability
Lodgr is provided 'as is'. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of earnings) arising from your use of the Platform.
11Termination
We reserve the right to suspend accounts for breaches, suspected fraud, or legal requirements without prior notice.
13Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Nigerian law. All disputes shall be submitted to the Federal High Court of Nigeria.
14Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
